i'm the sentimental fool
in the shallow end of the pool.
i can't swim
but i tried to dive.
it's written all over my face.
magic marker, indelible.
new feelings were sittin' on the windowsill
cooling in the salt air.
something in the bed
no tide can wash away
something in my head
no sand.
(in a dream...your beautiful friend.
i snuck in and looked around.
a hundred identities in the dresser drawer.)
just give me a little push
and let me float away.
