the news
7:13 p.m.

wow, a guy died on the ocean beach here a few weeks ago. foul play is not suspected, perhaps a suicide attempt, but hypothermia is what killed him. he had some minor stab wounds. he had no I.D...they haven't been able to identify him yet. so today there was a picture of him in the paper. he's ummm, dead in the picture. head kind of propped up on one of those autopsy tables. if they had cropped it a bit, it just would have been a white background. his eyes are open, he has a wool cap on. his mouth is slightly open. he doesn't even look dead, just sort of slightly stoned. it's the weirdest thing i've seen in a while.

from "men seeking men" on our local craiglist:

"I'm a 23 year old str8 guy who would like to get off with someone discreetly. Would just like to sit on a couch or lie on a bed next to someone while they stroked their cock and I stroked mine while watching porn or something. I want someone around my age so if your over 30 please don't waste both of our time. Please be normal and str8. I'm allowed to be picky about this."

2 straight guys jackin' next to each other...there's a word for that...

gay :)

was listening to bush during my walk tonight. omg, he still says "nucular"!

some news today about my friends' son trevvor, who was murdered last year:

"More than nine months after Eureka resident Trevvor James Davenport was killed in Old Town, some new information that will be made available soon may help make headway in the case.

Weve got some evidence (taken) down to (the Department of Justice) thats in the process right now of being evaluated, said Eureka Police Detective Curt Honeycutt. I am hopeful that the evidence being tested will bear some fruit.

Davenport, 24, was found stabbed to death at approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 30 in the 200 block of L Street.

Because none of the people to whom police have talked saw the stabbing occur, Honeycutt said the case has not been easy to solve.

I would say we are making progress, (but) obviously I would like to have somebody in custody right now, he said in a previous interview with The Eureka Reporter. I dont know that there are witnesses other than the killer who were there when the stabbing occurred.

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for killing Davenport is up to $3,000, including the initial $500 offered by EPD. The remainder of the reward has been donated by family and friends of Davenport.

Honeycutt said he hopes the reward will be helpful in gathering the information needed to arrest and convict the killer.

I think people sometimes need an incentive especially when you deal with individuals or associate with individuals who are capable of doing something like this, he said in a previous interview with The Eureka Reporter. Were hoping that that money ... will assist us in getting more information. Ive interviewed a lot of people and right now I think were heading (in) the right direction.
