2,4 and 6. The trees in a puddle don't do it for me because pretty or not it's an over done concept. The sea foam coming in is striking because of the blue of the water contrasted with the black and white of the sand. it's almost like two pictures. The top half is color and the bottom half is B&W. Six is my favorite but I'm biased towards the sea since I live there.

#2 is the one I'd pick. I wouldn't pick 3 photos just for the sake of picking 3. I'd pick the very best. And, to me, #2 is it. For a contest, you might also want to consider technical difficulty. There might be dozens of photos submitted of empty beaches. "Might" be? Change that to "will" be. And some people might include something that's more technically difficult, like a sandpiper posed in the foreground. Always think of what your competition will be doing, especially when there's money involved. Good luck.

by the way, as it is a contest, it'd be a good idea to think outside the box, like pictures of water in the toilet bowl or close up of tear drops that are photographed beautifully... the beauty of art is that there's no rules so go crazy!

#1 for sure, 6 (because its the only one in color) or 4 (probably more interesting than 6), and 3 would be alright only if you could crop out the cars along the top. and okay i'm not being mean but i don't know why so many people are choosing #2... while it is a good photograph, it looks like it came from my community college. sorry. water on a window is probably more overdone than beaches... when i was in basic photography class i took a picture of raindrops on my car window; everyone does.

I like: 1, 4, & 5 The imagary in 5 is by far the best. The imagination of the scene is captured very well, as if you can almost feel the silence in the photo. You take excellent photos by the way, and 3 is also greta, other than the cars tires can be seen. Maybe if you cropped it a little bit, it'd have a more resolute look to it? eh. I don't know. I like all of your pictures though. I always lean more towards black and white myself. They just look more serene and mysterious.

I like 4 for the composition as well... it's got some texture, which is nice. (I like the texture of the sand in 6 as well... it shows far better in color than bw.)

one two and three are the best to my eye, rather whimsical, like seeing the world through a window you didn't know existed. One is my favorite. they seem like such different views on the 'water' category than usually seen...perhaps different than what everyone else is submitting, which would make you stand out! The beach ones are very pretty, especially number 5, they just don't grab me as much because of how overdone they are, because so many people are drawn to the beauty of that type of water, making their photos pop up everywhere. Just my two cents!
