sacred and profane
12:00 a.m.

it's so cool matt's at the store...i went up there today to drop off a can of coffe in the breakroom...i'm only drinking decaff now, so i thought i'd beter get rid of the regular...matt was munchin' on chips. i took a couple of funny pictures of him with the new cam, which is always in the cellphone pocket of my backpack. then joyce came in and she shared some thoughts about rx...bonnie can be a bitch on wheels..blah blah, i'm not gonna go into all that here...when they get that new superduper system installed, she's gonna be asking matt questions, ha!

looks like i'm going to the symphony tomorrow night.

i guess i'm glad they found spaulding gray's body, but...
2 months in the river, oh god, that's not pretty.

a couple weeks ago on tv donald trump told baba wawa that if he sees a penny on the sidewalk, he picks it up...
i do that too!

fell asleep last night listening to the director's commentary track on the meet the parents dvd...i LOOOOOVE that stuff...if it's a movie i love, there's nothing better.

another picture...

"self-portrait with double-exposed ear"

there's a great essay by kevin smith in the dogma dvd booklet, where he says "the key difference between spreading the word of god and spreading the word of the church can be summed up thusly: the church is the shoddy house that was built upon the perfect earth. i'm not saying that church is bad; i'm saying that it was built by men (and women), and because of this, it's weak and frail. the earth, on the other hand, is organic and natural, strong and durable."

the ben and matt angel characters in the movie say pretty much the same thing...that all church doctrine is fallable because it was written by man.

that's my point exactly!

and this was part of a letter in the s.f. chronicle pink section last week about the mel gibson jesus movie..."the consensus of biblical scholars is that mark was the basis for the other three gospels. and the legendary jesus created by mark was a composite of oral traditions about a number of religious revolutionaries preaching in the early first century. what's more, mark embellished his fiction with pagan mythological elements."

hmm, i never thought of jesus as a "composite"... i can't wait to see the responses to THAT this weekend. i'd love to see what andy chazaq has to say about that, but...
i creep him out i think.

funny i bring all that up now...i made this a few
weeks ago...

hey kids, 50 cent is cool...(from mtv.com)

"I ain't into faggots," 50 says in an interview in the April issue of Playboy, which hits stands Friday. "I don't like gay people around me, because I'm not comfortable with what their thoughts are. I'm not prejudiced. I just don't go with gay people and kick it we don't have that much in common. I'd rather hang out with a straight dude. But women who like women, that's cool."

typical...

"50 Cent's comments came while admitting that his mother was bisexual. Later, he unapologetically explains his words, saying, "It's OK to write that I'm prejudiced. This is as honest as I could possibly be with you. When people become celebrities they change the way they speak. But my conversation with you is exactly the way I would have a conversation on the street. We refer to gay people as faggots, as homos. It could be disrespectful, but that's the facts."

ok, he's got mommy issues...

"Elsewhere in the interview, 50 recalls the first time he ever shot someone, discusses his own experiences with getting shot and says he wants to build a community center for children."

the FIRST time he ever shot someone?!?!?!?

"Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, talk show host Bill O' Reilly followed up his critique of Ludacris by blasting 50 Cent and the companies, like Reebok, that do business with the rapper. On his show, "The O'Reilly Factor," the talking head said 50 was a "horrible influence on children" and that Reebok is "embracing a guy who's hurting children." Last year, Reebok signed an endorsement deal with 50 Cent to develop a line of casual sneakers."

i went to his website, it's guns, guns, guns all over the place...and you can buy a nifty poster of 50 in his stylish bullet-proof vest...

whatEVER, girlfriend.

ok, i've spoken my peace....

laterz, homies AND homos.
