stoned again and other tales...

ok, i'm gonna spend an hour here pecking away and see if i can get caught up a bit...
first of all, thanks for the comments on the last entry, they mean a lot! mooreboy, that was so sweet...and the phone mesage was even sweeter...
i went to rob's last night...we got stoned and watched this is spinal tap with the audio commentary, which is super funny as they do it as the characters from the film. i think i went one toke over the line though....i went from pleasantly high to giggling to rolling on the floor laughing, (rob whispered to the cat, "michael's being silly"...) and then i got a bit twitchy for about 10 minutes, i got cold and a little anxious...that means daddy's had too much. it passed, and then everything was groovy, baby.

monday is rob's birthday, and he wants sex, weed, or cash...give till it hurts, ok, people?
oh, and we watched some of the first austin powers, i don't know that one very well...i spotted a MAJOR goof...in a party scene that was supposed to be in the 60's, they had a guy playing andy warhol, but he was working a very mid-80's warhol look, the wig was very
wild and big....haha, i know my shit, ok?
a few days ago we went down to borders...they're having a big sale on what they call "essential music"....25% off some good shit...i got the first talking heads, the first clash (why i didn't have those on cd yet is just weird, those were BIG records for me) i picked up something i want steve to get to know, and i got miles davis' sketches of spain, which was a bit of a letdown at first. it sounded kinda shrill to me, nothing like kind of blue which i really love...but i think it's growing on me. and they have those elvis costello reissues, each with a bonus disc of demos and stuff, and liner notes by elvis...gotta get those, they ARE essential!
rob got a bunch of stuff, including eno's another green world and the new york dolls' first....mmm, two more of my faves, and eno is ALWAYS good when stoned...oh, and i gave rob the little pot i had left last night, i think i only need to do it once in a great while, wait for a special occasion or something...he'll get more use out of it. i have connections...sorta.
steve and i were on the phone the other night, and since he's back on awc, we went looking at boys together, that was really funny, and fun! we were in the men's room and i was kinda pimpin' him a bit, telling people what a great guy he is. oh look, here we are...
steve's new haircut looks good...i need to shave. i changed my profile picture while we were talking and i said "um, steve, have you seen my profile lately?" haha, he said "ok, i see why these guys like you..." ha! my BFH...it's an illusion, smoke and mirrors...just a matter of the right camera angle and LOTS of rubber bands...i'm kidding.

see what i mean? randy quaid, but hot! hehe...god, i know more people from ohio...oh, i can hear adrienne whispering in my ear..."local, local"...but look...we seem to have really hit it off...if someone finds me attractive, it's a nice (and rare) feeling. i'm gonna explore it.
arrrgh...this pile of notes...i think i'm just gonna do an entry soon called "things i never got around to talking about"...
chatted with JR a few days ago, he's back home after having a few adventures...he's got a huge pile of songs stocked up, he said about 30 or 40 he really loves..that boy! i told him i still listen to "winter tree", that it was one of my favorites, and that it reminded me of nick drake...he got that. his musical knowledge still amazes me, especially for someone only 19...someday him and me and rob really need to get together and play cd's for an evening, god that would be fun!
he didn't know the whole pride hoo-ha was his weekend, i told him if he wanted to go see the parade i could come and fetch him...but he has to go to church and play with his organ...errr, play the organ i mean. and he has relatives visiting...but it would be fun to hang for a few hours. i just emailed him this morning to see if he's interested. i'm kinda cynical about all the rainbow and triangles and shit, but i guess i'm gonna go...i sorta asked rob, but it's not really his scene, i totally understand that. and with that shaved head and his beautiful eyes..ooh, he'd be in danger! i need to pick him up a "straight but not narrow" button tomorrow, hehe...

i never heard back from bob about tilling my garden...we have a farmer's market two blocks from work every thursday, maybe i'll just hit that...great variety there, especially later on this summer...
ok, i need to go walking...i will finally be caught up on my 5-miles-a-day plan...by tonight i will have walked 820 miles so far this year...that's about 100 more than i did in ALL of 2003. hey, a little OCD can be a good thing.
and i know the EXACT MOMENT that got me kicked into high gear with all this walking and weight loss and whatever...but i'll never tell...i really can't. but it did the trick, that's the main thing.
