weekend update
11:54 p.m.
camping on friday was great! met some new people, there were 10 of us all together.
kev and i walked the beach, found some good rocks.
the food was good. had chicken, ribs, potatoes, lots of snacks. we were all sitting round the fire at night, talking, shooting the shit. it DID get quiet at times, just like the chatroom, haha!
there were 5 dogs in attendance too!
much drinking, joints and brownies going around the circle. i had a few tokes and it was just right. i don't do brownies, it's too hard to gauge the dosage!
kev and dan retired around midnight, i crawled in the tent a bit after that. kev has some music playing low, it was cool. the tide was coming in i guess, all of a sudden the ocean got real loud!
woke up early, kev had some joni playing...i got emotional. had coffee and a banana. woodii showed up, he's such a sexy...dork! you know how i love dorks...
dan took off and kev and i walked the two miles to fern canyon, i'll get some pics from him soon. it was awesome there. saw some elk on the road. and some more guys that had arrived went by on their bikes.
we headed home. went to the co-op in arcata. i introduced myself to that boy from the room that works there, i told him i'd pop in sometime. too bad he's not a daddy's boy.
we did a quick run around the farmer's market. i got home around 1:30 i guess. took the rest of the day easy.
j wanted to hear about camping, he said i should call him. that's rare for us, the phone. we're going to dinner next saturday, silver lining at the airport. should be an interesting night.
today, ran around with rob. went back out to d&k's and bought some eggs. rob got to meet the guys, that was cool, i like to mix friends up, it's fun! d was working on the yard, kev was working on jewelery. it's nice up in his studio, the view is great.
rob and i went down to loleta, ferndale and rio dell, saw some nice country. ate at denny's in fortuna. joni song on a mix cd on the way home, i started to cry. well, sorta.
a lot of songs are hitting me hard right now...john doe's "it's only love", "someone like you", and "my offering" off his first album...had that in the car. and some of the corny shit i have to listen to at work...i have to block 'em out at times, i start THINKING, you know.
i work monday and tuesday, then i have 5 days off. much to get done around here, i need to kick my own ass in gear.
peter leaves for europe tomorrow, i better get a postcard from paris! we had a fun chat last night.
big speech is still in my head. the other project is "100 wonderful moments"... that one is easy.
another camping trip would be great, and maybe some backpacking this summer.
ok, time for bed.
