friday stuff
5:39 p.m.

a productive day.

went to swanlund's and dropped off a cd of 4 pics to get 11x14's. should be ready next week. i've been playing around at pictureframes.com, they have a feature where you can try out mats and frames on pics you upload...here's the 4 i'm getting printed:

they're kinda small here, but, you get the idea, i hope. i will pick one to get framed at eureka art and frame. right now i don't really know whats gonna look good at 11x14...this should be interesting.

then i went to the works and got tickets for the slits show, 9 bucks apiece! i got 2, who wants to go? fell in love for a minute with the redheaded shrimp there, cute kid, sexy deep voice.

then to the museum. joined the humboldt arts council, 30 bucks for a year. that means i can enter any of the member shows, cool! had a quick look at my picture...eh, it's ok.

HAC members get in the museum free.

jemima, the head curator remembered me from work a few weeks ago. she said she was in yesterday but that i was busy....hmm, she remembers me, can't hurt, right?

i wonder if she's an aunt...i bet she gets asked that a lot!

then went to the mall, hit borders for a magazine load-up...been a while. mojo, uncut, q, rolling stone, spin, filter, and paste. just over 50 bucks. oh well. lucy wasn't working at the cafe. it's gonna storm tonight i think, so i'll be on the couch reading, mmmmmm.

hit BK for some yum yum. the mall was packed with eye candy. one thing i hate seeing is some 15 yr. old teenage daddy pushing a baby carriage...sad.

oh, jack said my half of the fence is 600 bucks...well, i knew that it was gonna be about that much but...ouch. but it was sorely needed.

big news: joni mitchell is recording for the first time in 8 years! sounds like the current political climate has inspired her...can't wait!

i have the greatest joni song on my myspace right now...it's "jerico" from don juan's reckless daughter...perhaps the best example of her with jaco pastorious on bass...amazing.

ok...time to go chill. have a great weekend!
