tonight, the earth shook!
12:27 a.m.

damn, it's been a week since i've posted. got some notes for a bigger entry, but here's a few things...

first, the local news:

(CNN) -- A magnitude 5.2 earthquake shook a rural part of northern California on Tuesday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The moderate quake hit shortly after 8 p.m. (11 p.m. ET) about 11 miles east-southeast of Willow Creek, which is about 190 miles northwest of Sacramento.

Nita Rowley with the Williow Creek Chamber of Commerce said she felt the earthquake as a rolling jolt, but had not received any reports of damage.

At the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office in Eureka, Sgt. Diana Freese said several people had called to ask whether a quake had struck. She said the office had received no reports of injuries or damage.

"It was a roll and a shake," she said.

that's TWO in like a week! dyl and i were cuddled on the couch and the window started rattling.

WILLOW CREEK! that's so weird, it's way up in the mountains...

getting ready to submit something to the northwest eye photo show at the museum...i have this picture i took in SF on the dolls trip...

i printed it up at work today and went to michael's and bought some mats. for this show it's white mats only, no frames. good, cuz it's 15 bucks per entry, up to 3.

one of the mats i bought was a panoramic. the pic looked ok in a regular mat, but i kinda feel all that wall on the right is kind of wasted space. so i tried it in the pano mat...

oh, yes, we like! i'm gonna tilt it just a little so that horizontal line on the left is straight. there's so many different tones in it, from pure white, through various grays to total black. and it's much more abstract this way, but it's still quite clear what it is.

jack came over from next door, he thought it was cool.

so, ok, yeah, a REAL entry in a few days (i hope)...

xoxo,

MK
