ok, i hope i don't embarrass anybody here...
as you may remember, a few months ago i introduced two diarylanders to each other...i had been reading both of their diaries, and really felt that they should get to know each other. well, the IM's have been flying fast and furious ever since! these guys HAVE been getting to know each other...i think they have a lot in common. i talk to both of them fairly often. i knew they'd hit it off. they're both in school, pretty close in age, and well, they're just both really great guys.
well, lo and behold, ***** is flying out to ******** to hang out with ***** during spring break! it's kind of a big step, but i think it's gonna be a real good experience for all concerned. ME INCLUDED! i DO feel a little bit odd, i guess cuz i'm the one who started all this...i never dreamed it would get this far, but i'm as excited as they are. they're already pretty good friends, and i think meeting up will just make that friendship stronger.
one night i was talking to one of them online, and i kinda dared him to give me his number...we talked on the phone for a bit, it was pretty cool. the other lad has left a few messages on my machine, and i hope we get to talk for real sometime soon. so at least i got to hear their voices, that made the whole thing a little more real for me...
last week i spent the afternoon online tracking down some restaraunts close to ******'s school, and i'm gonna treat 'em to dinner...
now, if we end up with a "love connection" (as lora would say) somewhere down the line, that would really be something...GUYS, STOP BLUSHING! i know the geographic distance is a big hurdle, but at the very least there's a very strong friendship established. i said if they end up together and have kids someday, the first son must be named michael!
so that's MY good deed for the year!
