ok, guess i'll write for a while and clear up some notes and stuff...
had a gay 'ol time watching the tony awards tonight. hairspray really cleaned up. YAY! harvey forgot to mention john waters...weird. i really don't dig musicals, shame on my gay ass. rent for instance...i haven't really SEEN it, but i've seen parts of it...ugh. just not my thing.
and today was gay day over in arcata...the parade, god, you big-city bois would get such a kick out of that. oh, i'm glad they do it, but i've never gone. i always watch the news for the little clip, they didn't show much this year. maybe public access will air the whole thing, they did that a few years ago.
geez, someone's a bit upset about grab-bag, she thinks i'm not being proper by not saying where the excerpts are coming from...that's the whole point. i've gotten several positive comments about it, and people have been tickled to be included...but i DID take one excerpt out tonight, and some people DO want to know where the stuff is from, so they can read more! so, yeah, a little bit of everything, comment-wise.
i don't feel i'm doing anything wrong, or immoral, or....whatever. the anonymous factor IS the whole point of grab-bag. and anyway, i don't even REMEMBER where most of those bits come from...i get into diaries, and then i couldn't find my way back if i had to. that's part of the fun.

ok, here's some random note stuff i need to get down...

i had some corn chips at work, and then i brushed my teeth...the combined taste reminded me of captain crunch, something i probably haven't tasted in 30 years.
cold cereal...i can't imagine a WORSE way to start the day. i DO love oatmeal, with a little butter, salt, and some flax seeds. (gotta get that omega-3 oil every day, folks)
the garden is doing well, except for the yellow zucchini, which never sprouted! so today i got some lemon cucumber starts, and a few more green zucchini starts. AND some little yellow pupkin starts, and lemon tyme, can't have too much of that.
in fact, the other night while the pasta was cooking, i went out and picked some spinach, mustard greens, parsley, lemon tyme, and chives and kinda tore it all up and added it to the pasta when it was done....a little butter, some lemon juice....it was goodfood, as the cat would say.
i hear they're gonna make a bewitched movie, with nicole kidman and jim carrey...yeah, that could work. carrey said lots of people have told him he reminds them of dick york.

prom last night, did lots of pictures today...34 rolls, all by myself.
dreams....had two about goose, both nights i woke up and thought i should write them down, but went back to sleep and lost lots of details. one was thanksgiving dinner at his house (and some kind of swim meet i was in...ME! ha!) and the other was about the truck, my dad was in that one...i found pennies on the ground, which led to dollar bills, but it was play money.
and a very weird dream about my dad again...i was, uh, jacking him off! oh, god, noooooooo.
oh, and a dream where i was writing lyrics for ozzy...the words faded away when i woke up, dammit!

great article on phil spector in the new esquire, and there was one in vanity fair, but i haven't read that one yet. spector still hasn't been charged with anything.
oh, and there's supposed to be a big article on jt leroy in VF soon...i'm still not sure the whole thing isn't a big hoax, that would really be something if dennis cooper really wrote those books. jt sounded so inarticulate on the radio, it was so odd. it's in the archives at the fresh air site.
i found something so weird on kazaa..it's an audio of john wayne making a drunken speech at some public function, a dinner or something. he's going on about the anti-war protesters...he's REALLY drunk!
i found that when i was looking for "john wayne is big leggy" by haysi fantayzee, a one-hit wonder from the boy george years. that's my favorite song title, ever! #2 would have to be "death may be your santa claus" by mott the hoople.
oh, in blender, they were asking jewel a little Q&A...they asked her "jack black or jack white?" and she said "who's jack white?" rob and i got a big kick out of that...
we now carry gene simmons' tongue magazine at work...god, you should see his website. KISS are going on tour with aerosmith this sunmmer...i thought they auctioned off the costumes and retired...never say never, i guess.
juanita in the pharmacy showed me an interesting combo for a fun weekend...a bottle of horny goat weed pills and some condoms called "twisted pleasures"...they have a little raised ridge that sort of curls around the dick head...weird.
ok, i could go on, but it's time for bed. tuesday's my one-year anniversary here in d-land...wow, it really flew by.
