rob said there were a couple of other semi-celebrity deaths today, but i haven't seen who it was yet...
bowie was on later the other night..i always like to hear him chat, but i think the songs were boring. really, i think he lost his way around 1980, and except for a few special moments (outside was wonderful, if way too long) i don't really feel he's ever recovered. oh, but it's interesting to see him grow old...
let's all get really old, ok?

and the pixies are getting back together....i don't see that lasting long, but i'll be interested to hear what they come up with.
and zwan broke up already...yawn. billy kinda bugs me, though he's written some wonderful songs...he's gonna do a solo thing i guess, but you still need a band to play live, so what's the point? ahh, personality clashes i suppose.
wow, the neil young book is pretty good..i've always wanted to see his ranch, it sounds like paradise.
some more elvis costello reissues just came out, rob got them right away of course, i'm so behind....so many reissues i want...blondie, ramones, elvis, x,...the new version of elvis' get happy has like 30 bonus tracks, in addition to the original 20...plus new notes that he wrote since the ryko reissues came out in ther 90's... which also had notes for each song...grrr! i can't keep up!
this is the third go-round for these albums, it bugs me...like, i have the bowie box that ryko did, which had lots of extra stuff, but to get EVERYTHING you had to buy some of the separate reissues too..it's fucked! of course those are all out of print now. the latest bowie reissues have no bonus tracks, but the recent 30th anniversary reissues of ziggy and alladin sane are all fancy-schmancy with bonus stuff, deluxe packaging,
and whatever...
see, rob, that's one way i can justify "stealing" music on the internet...how many times do i have to buy these fucking albums, huh?

ok, i've had 2 days off...i go in tomorrow and then have a week off...casey's going camping, so he couldn't work for me tomorrow, or else i would have had a longer vacation....i don't care.
and debbie will be gone when i get back, so i will start my cool 8-5 monday-friday schedule...with weekends off! i'm gonna start DOING stuff, go places, meet people...really!
when i told steve that, he said "finally my daddy is going to get some poontang!"
don't think it hasn't crossed my mind...
i saw some pics of steve and danny...awww, what can i say? and danny's coming to see steve again this weekend...that's so great. steve is such a wonderful guy. we talk so often, it FEELS like he lives close, know what i mean?
ok, i'd better hit my tree, i have to get up in about 5 hours...but, uh-oh, matt just messaged me...hmm, i may be up a few more minutes....
