almost bon voyage
12:47 a.m.
trying to pack and do laundry and shit...being lazy. got car serviced, and it's all clean inside. think i'm gonna take miles, charlie parker and billie holiday on the trip. i'm in that kind of mood. i still don't really like sketches of spain very well, but, oooh, kind of blue sounds soooooo good in the car...driving around sf with miles playing...that sounds great.
but there is a song i want to be playing when i pop out of that tunnel and see the golden gate...(that must be the most spectacular introduction to a city there is..) ummm, it's "lowdown" by boz skaggs! haha! really, that song...perfect.
i AM worried about the cat...i dunno what's gonna go through that pretty little head.
got a little stoned at rob's last night...a little too much again. i just can't guage how much i take in when i smoke with a pipe
tonight i had a little and was productive, i guess...
printed out some maps, i'm making a little binder. k maria and i are on for lunch at cafe claude on thurday! and i mailed casey today, haven't heard from him yet, i dunno if he's still in berkeley.
i'm gonna look at the trip like...THIS is my home for four days...this is my neighborhood. there's one of our stores
a few blocks from the hotel, so i might be down there making a photo cd if i fill up the memory in the sd card.
oh and i'm taking that 60's reggae comp, it's great.
ok, lots of clean clothes now.
bought a virgin card to top up the phone, went to the site and loaded it...it's all red and black and white there, just like their packaging.
i'm eating ice cream.
i've only seen three pictures of j-rob, and we chatted on cam once. i think he's seen a hundred pictures of me.
need to shave and buzz hair...taking my flannel shirt, in case i'm in a bear mood..i could be a good bear with a few minor adjustments....there's bear BARS in sf! god...i dunno...is that just MORE gay ghettoisation? blah, blah blah.
i think my idea about a book on straight men who cam with gay men is a good one. should i start asking people if i can interview them? that would be so easy with chat....hmm?
i am still a litte stoned, it's nice right now. but i can't get high and drive in the city... maybe the park...or i was thinking we could get stoned at the hotel and walk to sfmoma, it's only like 7 blocks. all those colrs in the pop show, mmmm...
the sf pda map j-rob gave me is like a shopping map, it lists all the stores...oh, and there's an international newstand in the area too, gonna have to check that out.
and i'm going to see the house my mom and uncle grew up in down in burlingame i haven't seen it in 25 yrs! but that's a whole entry for after the trip...i dream about that house often, i usually can't get there...or if i do it's different every time...
