vacation boy
9:12 a.m.
hi kids...i'm in sf, online in the business center at the hotel.
i'm having a ball, i really needed to get away, and didn't realize it till i got here...typical reaction i guess.
i made it to the city in 4 hrs. and 40 minutes...pretty good time i think. stopped for gas once, opened a porta-potty and was greeted by a nice young lady sitting on the toilet..oops!
was really foggy at the golden gate, you couldn't see the tops of the towers till you were right under 'em...beautiful! oh, and the bassline on "lowdown" pushed me right across the bridge...funk-kay!
got to the hotel, went for the valet parking, it's 33 bucks a day, but what a convenience...in or out anytime.
the room is small, but very hip. no view, but, no biggie.
got settled in, had a few tokes, and hit the streets. went under the dragon gate and headed up grant st. into chinatown. i guess i didn't think...it's july...can you say "tourists"? really crowded...every face is new, yet each one reminds me of someone...odd.
and hunddreds of beautiful chinese faces, literally.
walked all over, for an hour or so...lots of interesting little places to eat, i ended up going to subway! today i'll get some vietnamese soup or something, got a place in mind.
sometimes i can't tell who's gay and who's just hip...the boys have a certain look going down here...lots of little guys, short hair, shorts, t-shirts...everyone is pretty casual...saw LOTS of people running as i drove in...
went back to the room, ate, took a nap from 5-9:30 pm. got up, ate some stuff from the honor bar...pringles, rice crispie treats, a candy bar, and some cookies...had the munchies, and all that came to 16 bucks, but i don't give a fuck, i'm having a great time.
there was a hair in the sink, hehe...and the bed is unbelievably comfortable.
oh, also in the cabinet where the bar is they have rubber duckies for the tub, and a little one that's some kind of vibrator...i mean, it comes with a battery! and an "intimacy package", that comes in a little chinese take-out box...2 condoms, lube, and mango-scented wipes...hmmm.
went back to sleep around 3am. got up early, very refreshed, and was on the streets by 8...today i'm heading down to burlingame, and then i might go to amoeba, that humongous record store in the haight. i told rob i could never go there without a list, that it would just be sensory overload, but i think i' go there with the intention of picking up a few used goodies for j-rob, and then i'll certainly see a few things i want.
ok, i guess that's all for now...send me a text message if you can...walking around and hearing from one of you nice folks would be a treat!
tomorrow morning at 10 am, j-rob will be here! i'm so excited to meet him, it's gonna be a great day!
