trinidad redux

where was i?
oh yes.
ok, friday i went up to trinidad, i haven't been up there since last may. i was nice and sunny, but cold and crisp. i parked in the lot at saunder's market and kind of meandered through town.
here's the view on the way down to the beach:

i called steve from the beach so he could hear the waves. i found a nice little very zen looking black rock. i'm mailing that to steve with the magazine, but i told him if he comes out here, he has to bring the rock with him and put it back!

i didn't even notice the bird until i got home and loaded the pics!
i hung out on the beach for a while and...thought. trinidad is so peaceful and beautiful. i'd love to retire up there some day. i'd better start saving my money...this place:
which is right around the corner from j's house, and has been deserted for years, just sold for a million dollars! i mean, geez, there are vines growing OUT of the living room window, i can't even imagine what the inside looks like. but you see, this is pretty much the view you would have there:
i imagine they'll tear it down.
i went to the marine biology station, haven't been there in years. this is me out back by the solar panels:
i took a look in the windows of the crow's nest vacation rental...their website HERE...it's a cute little place. 200 a night, but you have to rent 2 nights :( i was thinking that would be fun if steve or sw came out..maybe invite a few people and have a nice night...maybe matt and jr! but damn, it's pricey! course, look at the view from THERE:

funny, i talked to j before and after i went up there...he was at work.
i took a few pics of that house that has been pleasantly haunting my dreams (the one i've never been in). maybe that will make it stop. i don't mind really, but they're just kind of...pointless.
oh and i walked right past my bete noire..the thorn in my side, the rock in my shoe, (i suppose i should say "the sand in my oyster"!) without even knowing it. but that's all so fucking freudian i'm not gonna go into it here...long story.
trinidad...insert big sigh. for several reasons.
i need to cut my hair tonight, i'm starting to look like albert einstein!
going to the airport to pick up rob tonight. he's getting in at 11:30.
think i'm gonna take a break from posting for a while in march. i have a few more posts in mind ( certainly some pics after sf this weekend, a post about a nice guy i met online who turned out to be a big liar, something about "webcam culture", and maybe, just maybe, the fabled 2005 review). then i think for a few weeks i might post some favorite entries from the past, a "greatest hits" so to speak.
or maybe i should just call 'em reruns!
i just feel the need to get out and do stuff, go places, see people...
"life", i think they call it.
