thanks for all the kind words about mr. hobble, that was sweet. buddy's out sleeping in the back yard, not REAL close to hobble's grave, but...somewhat in the vicinity. now THAT'S interesting.
ok, i just got back from the museum. dropped off the pics. was in line for a half hour. a few dozen people there. i saw some of the competition, hmmm. lakes. trees and lakes. sun shining on lakes with trees in the background. birds in lakes. nothing too weird. i find out thursday afternoon if i made the cut.
i'm sure you're sick of looking at 'em...i am, but here's ONE MORE look at the pics, and my feelings, now that i've been looking at them framed for a week...
this is my favorite now. all the different textures. and the print is real sharp.
this one was the voters favorite. i love it, but, hmm, i dunno, maybe it's a bit too conventional? it all depends on the judge's tastes.
this one, especially with it's narrow matting, turned out pretty nice. i think it really stands out. it will either catch people's eyes or it will be "hmmmm, that's kinda weird!"

nice talk with john in hayward
over the weekend, a few nice talks actually. he didn't have a great week. he said he needs to learn to "reel in his heart"...been there, done that! he asked me "so after you pretty much know you're being blown off, do you ever ask why?" i mentioned the old classic " i like as you a friend" stuff...so that was good for a half hour.
he's turned me on to some great music, boards of canada, junior boys...and OMG he has everything low has released! even the "owl" remix cd...at that point i asked him "so, what size ring do you wear?" hahaha!
plus, he's a big warhol fan, sigh. and he was playing grandaddy on his ipod!
i told him a found out someone else i've been talking to is a big mariah fan, that i was shocked. he said "well, is that a deal-breaker?" i said, "you're listening to grandaddy...you tell me!"
what a sweetie.
that "dorktruck" guy better keep his hands off, i saw john first!!!
talked to sheila on the phone today. told her she needs to get the doll's cd.
anyway...time for dinner.
