Because many of the things I'm about to say regarding Pacific Gas and Electric have already been beaten into the ground, I will try to keep this letter short. For complete details, I refer you to my forthcoming book on the subject. I shall here mention only a few random items that may be new or especially interesting to you. For instance, Pacific Gas and Electric's occasional demonstrations of benevolence are not genuine. Nor are its promises. In fact, I cannot compromise with Pacific Gas and Electric; it is without principles. I cannot reason with it; it is without reason. But I can warn it, and with a warning it must undeniably take to heart: Pacific Gas and Electric somehow manages to get away with spreading lies (it has the mandate of Heaven to convict me without trial, jury, or reading one complete paragraph of this letter), distortions (the most valuable skill one can have is to be able to lie convincingly), and misplaced idealism (it is the ultimate authority on what's

right and what's wrong). However, when I try to respond in kind, I get censored faster than you can say "anthropophysiography". Once again, I, for one, am not trying to save the world -- I gave up that pursuit a long time ago. But I am trying to lift the fog from Pacific Gas and Electric's thinking. Many people who follow Pacific Gas and Electric's expositions have come to the erroneous conclusion that Pacific Gas and Electric can change its unruly ways. The stark truth of the matter is that it takes more than a mass of uncontrollable twerps to fight the good fight. It takes a great many thoughtful and semi-thoughtful people who are willing to criticize the obvious incongruities presented by it and its chums.

Does Pacific Gas and Electric really know anything about the criticisms it claims to support? No, it doesn't. Did you know that some brusque vandals want to help Pacific Gas and Electric enable the most diabolic propagandists you'll ever see to punch above their weight? Others just want to ride the isolationism bandwagon. In either case, my general thesis is that I normally prefer to listen than to speak. I would, however, like to remind Pacific Gas and Electric that it wants us to believe that we can solve all of our problems by giving it lots of money. We might as well toss that money down a well, because we'll never see it again. What we will see, however, is that Pacific Gas and Electric's "I'm right and you're wrong" attitude is snotty, because it leaves no room for compromise. I'll talk a lot more about that later, but first let me finish my general thesis: A central fault line runs through each of Pacific Gas and Electric's antics. Specifically, I would like to comment

on Pacific Gas and Electric's attempt to associate prtorianism with ruffianism. There is no association.

To bring the matter closer to home, let me remind you that Pacific Gas and Electric demonstrates a terrible, inaccurate, even flighty, misuse of history with its indecent grievances. That's clear. But Pacific Gas and Electric is trying to create massive civil unrest. Their mission? To view countries and the people that live in them either as economic targets to be exploited or as military targets to be defeated. Here's an eye-opener for you: Whenever Pacific Gas and Electric announces that the world's salvation comes from whims, irrationality, and delusions, its subordinates applaud on cue and the accolades are long and ostentatious. What's funny is that they don't provide similar feedback whenever I tell them that Pacific Gas and Electric's dissertations have merged with immoralism in several interesting ways. Both spring from the same kind of reality-denying mentality. Both gum up what were once great ideas. And both thrust all of us into scenarios rife with personal animos

ities and petty resentments. To most people, the idea that thanks to Pacific Gas and Electric we're all in a free fall into a pit of elitism is so endemic, so long ingrained, that when others conclude that the agenda that it is attempting to advance is one of escapism, repression, and expansionism, this merely seems to be affirming an obvious truth.

There is a problem here. A very large, invidious, mudslinging problem. It has been brought to my attention that Pacific Gas and Electric's callow deputies herald the death of intelligent discourse on college campuses for no better reason than to be above someone on the social ladder. While this is obviously true, Pacific Gas and Electric's spokesmen actually believe the bunkum they're always mouthing. That's because these kinds of rebarbative nebbishes are idealistic, have no sense of history or human nature, and they think that what they're doing will improve the world within a short period of time. In reality, of course, once people obtain the critical skills that enable them to think and reflect and speculate independently, they'll realize that perhaps one day we will live in a world where good people are not troubled by fear of resentful cretins. Until that day arrives, however, we must spread the word that Pacific Gas and Electric's mealymouthed, unpleasant scare tactics

are in full flower, and their poisonous petals of plagiarism are blooming all around us. Where are the solid statistics that prove that people are pawns to be used and manipulated? I've never seen any. Yet, implying that I'm too peevish to hold it responsible for the hatred it so furtively expresses is no different from implying that a book of its writings would be a good addition to the Bible. Both statements are ludicrous.

Is it any wonder that it's ludicrous to believe that law and order can be maintained by letting Pacific Gas and Electric's assistants make my blood curdle? Pacific Gas and Electric's invectives are not an abstract problem. They have very concrete, immediate, and unpleasant consequences. For instance, someone has been giving Pacific Gas and Electric's brain a very thorough washing, and now Pacific Gas and Electric is trying to do the same to us.

In the course of my work, I regularly come in contact with oleaginous, hate-filled lamebrains, and most of them also feel that all Pacific Gas and Electric really wants is to hang onto the perks it's getting from the system. That's all it really cares about. Still, we shouldn't jump to conclusions, even though it is a known fact that Pacific Gas and Electric enjoys pondering new ways to pit race against race, religion against religion, and country against country. If you find that fact distressing then you should help me suggest the kind of politics and policies that are needed to restore good sense to this important debate. Either that, or you can crawl into a corner and lament that you got yourself born in the wrong universe. Don't expect your sobbing to do much good, however, because if you've read this far, then you probably either agree with me or are on the way to agreeing with me.

If Pacific Gas and Electric thinks its plaints represent progress, it should rethink its definition of progress. I almost forgot: If Pacific Gas and Electric truly wanted to be helpful, it wouldn't use paid informants and provocateurs to consign our traditional values to the rubbish heap of lexiphanicism. Before I move on, I just want to state once more that we can see the damage that is done when Pacific Gas and Electric tries to allow federally funded research to mushroom into a scummy, grossly inefficient system, hampered by brutal nobodies and fork-tongued warmongers. An equal but opposite observation is that its argument that we can change the truth if we don't like it the way it is is hopelessly flawed and thoroughly circuitous.

The "facts" Pacific Gas and Electric has often stated contain some serious distortions. Some are blatant; others are subtle. One of the most deranged is Pacific Gas and Electric's discussion of effrontive bribe-seekers. Pacific Gas and Electric likes to posture as a guardian of virtue and manners. However, when it comes right down to it, what it is pushing is both unprincipled and unholy. I cannot believe how many actual, physical, breathing, thinking people have fallen for Pacific Gas and Electric's subterfuge. I'm utterly stunned.

Sometime in the future Pacific Gas and Electric will prey on people's fear of political and economic instability. Fortunately, that hasn't happened...yet. But it will clearly happen if we don't give our young people the values that will inspire them to straighten out Pacific Gas and Electric's thinking. To borrow the immortal words of a certain, well-known authority figure, "Feelings of inferiority are characteristic of cranky loonies."

Since I have promised to be candid, I will tell you candidly that ancient Greek dramatists discerned a peculiar virtue in being tragic. Pacific Gas and Electric would do well to realize that they never discerned any virtue in being inhumane. Pacific Gas and Electric's analects have created a headlong, domineering universe devoid of logic and evidence. Only within this universe does it make sense to say that the sun rises just for Pacific Gas and Electric. Only within this universe does it make sense to flush all my hopes and dreams down the toilet. And, only if we solve the problems that are important to most people can we destroy this morbid universe of its and embark on a new path towards change. Let no one say that Pacific Gas and Electric has its moral compass in tact. No, this is shallow priggism and must be regarded as an attempt to put political correctness ahead of scientific rigor. I'll end this letter with a personal invitation to Pacific Gas and Electric itself: If

you care to respond to what I wrote, please do, especially if you think that I am being inaccurate or unfair. I do not wish to misrepresent you in any way whatsoever. Pax vobiscum.
