A STICKY SITUATION
1:23 a.m.

god, there's so much i don't know about this crazy computer world.setting up my new template was exausting, but fun.

i get ideas for projects at work, and can't wait to get home to get started. for instance, last night i grabbed a picture off the free photo site that came with my new template..it's a great time-waster,besides being a tool to spark ideas.so anyway,i saved this photo of a surveilance camera, kinda creepy looking.. i was thinking about it all day at work. i was outside on my break having a smoke(seemingly my one remaining vice) and i was singing(in my head) tv eye by iggy pop-well,i don't really know the song very well, and i was going"i got a tv eye on you" only to find out later-god, it's great-just type in "tv eye lyrics" and there it is! the actual line is "she's got a tv eye on me",but so what? sorry,ig. i bought a pack of blank stickers at staples on my way home and was ready to get down to work.it's so much fun to have an idea and have it turn out the way i planned-or sometimes an accident happens or i discover some new trick and things go in a different direction. my plan was to make some cryptic little stickers, like a negativland type of thing-hey doug,go to their website,it's cool..but,i can't for the life of me find the place where i can choose the size-oh,you know, the right setting to print the stickers correctly..i did it when i printed up those business cards when i first went online(DORK!) DID I DELETE SOMETHING?tried to go into ms word, found the right size, but then i got lost and nothing made sense...

it seems that whatever i learn here, i learn by doing 100 times until it makes sense finally-i hear a cool song on mtv, gotta go see what it is....

oh,it's outkast, that figures, all us white boyz like outkast-i know punks and professors that like outkast! i almost said "what" like outkast, you know, that texas thing--"i love a woman what don't love me"-lyle lovett.

it was outkast from the scooby doo soundtrack. i don't remember watching scooby doo, what age was i?

so, anyway, i can't make my stickers and i'm PISSED! i wanted to do a little culture jamming tomorrow, sick some on some sign poles-a year or two ago rob and i were downtown and i bought this little sticker book of dali paintings(why can't we list our fave painters in the profile?) and stuck some on the back of stop signs, etc.,funny to think of somebody seeing them and thinking"what the fuck is THAT? i was a major dali freeeek in high school, had a poster of "sleep" and some roger dean posters(YES album covers)up in my room..

so yeah,i wanna do some weird subversive sticker shit around town(i am WAY too old for this kind of behavior but let's have fun, now!) another good song playing,it's the hives, aren't they from sweden or something? i hope them and the strokes and the white stripes kill creed and all that shit, that's not alternative,it's music for demographics..the vines were just on,not bad,the video was a little "rock"-and i love black rebel motorcycle club-or is it black rock,i can never remember..yeah, it's time for another revolution, cobain style-i wish courtney would stop being such a bitchbitch(oops, leave it,it looks cool),and just let'em put out the box set and the unreleased songs-guess she needs the money for lawyers-she's probably WRITING SONGS about lawyers.. sorry, i.m. all over the place tonight, i can get pretty lucid in the middle of the night..anyhoo, here's my sticker thang...

maybe it'll give some of the normal people the creeps-that's all i can hope for...
