burning up...

burning some cd's tonight...gotta do SOMETHING with all those songs i've stolen...
made two cd's for casey-boy at work...first, a collection of some great cramps songs...here's the cover i came up with:
then i made him a cd of that english guy, mike skinner, a.k.a. "the streets"...here's that cover:
casey really got into the streets when he was in england last year going to college, but i guess he lost the cd he had...
i first heard skinner on a compilation...the song was "let's push things forward"...it's got a horn part lifted from "ghost town" by the specials....and i love that line "around here we say birds, not bitches". skinner is kinda like an english eminem, but not so angry...oh, that's a piss-poor description...for a VERY detailed review of his album, go HERE...
i'm really getting into it, it's different, it's cool, it's....very english! it didn't sell shit here...oh well.
plus the lad's quite easy on the eyes...hey, once a fag, always a fag, what can i say?
my new term for something good is "bone-inducing"...it's not strictly sexual, ok? it could be a great painting or a delicious meal...
uh-huh...whatever.
ok, i stil have lots to talk about (don't i ALWAYS?), but this entry was just a little detour...
