i'm talking about "kstyle's weekend of shameless self-promotion" (in which he attempts to garner all the attention, praise, and banner-clicks he possibly can.) um... if you're new here, and have no idea what i'm talking about, see my previous two entries.

the two "mariah" banners (corrected date and wrong date): 3.3% and 3.4%
the "what do these people have in common?" banner: 3.2%
the "this is not a banner" banner: 4.2%!!!!! that's exceptional! andrew says so! i think this last one may have fooled some people into thinking it was about something other than a diary site. not exactly bait and switch, more playing with people's expectations.
the best i ever did before with a banner was the animated " i'm afraid of americans" one, with the stars and stripes...(2.9%). i got some great comments on that one! (keith, i owe you a phone call, i know...)

sorry if i messed up anyone's name, i've got a bunch of scribbled notes here... and i guess just because their name showed up, it doesn't mean it was them who visited. it could be someone looking at that person's profile, or something else i haven't figured out. and if someone clicked on a banner while they were updating, then the only info i got was the update page, not a name. there's a lot of variables involved here...
