2:37 a.m.
just a few things...
just walked to the 24-hr. mega-market, and not a half-block from home, here come two kids walking towards me in the dark. i just kept my eyes forward...and then at the end of the block, two MORE kids walking, but across my path, not towards me...weird.
saw bob from the bakery, he works nights. he's gonna come over and till my garden soon. oh, steve...one of the late-shift stock boys looked so much like andy from texas, only about a foot taller!
saw some really hard-core punks buying cereal...
noticed some pointy party hats on the sidewalk, coming home that weren't there minutes before, must have been those kids...
rob and i went to the mall today, i think he saw as many beauties as i did. looked at eyeglass frames for a few minutes, saw two i really want, but very $$$! some cool black rectangular ones that would be great with a blue tint on the lenses, and some calvin kleins, very minimal frames...oh, you know i'm not a label queen, they were just very nice...but SO pricey! we'll see...
we were asked about 8 times at the record store if we needed help finding anything. rob thought maybe it was cuz of my backpack. i was about to do some performance art and really jump the next time they asked...maybe bump into something and knock it over...but, no. one clerk pointed out a weird al DVD to rob and said "that guy's weird!" whatever.
bought 100 blank CD's and some jewel boxes at radio shack, gonna turn everybody on to magnetic fields and elliott smith! oh, and i bought a cord to hook up my little CD player to the car radio...sounds excellent.
and at rob's house we did an a/b test on some elliott songs to see if rob could tell the diff between the "real" CD and the mp3. ha! he guessed wrong the first time, and got it right the second, so he was impressed. but he hears surges in some of the songs that i have trouble noticing...i heard one...

boy, there sure are a lot of buffy fans around here! i've never seen it...i think we only got that channel in the last year or so.
and some people sure talk big in their diaries, and then you see a picture of them, and it can really change things!
i'm working on a new diary project, but you can't see it until it has a little more content...stay tuned!
AND i'm designing a template for a friend...haha, it looks a lot like mine, cuz i started with my code and kinda deconstructed it. rob called it a variation on a theme, like part of a series. i tried to play with one of the d-land templates, and it got looking pretty good, but there were certain things i just couldn't do. but my client (heehee) is thrilled with what i came up with, so...
WHAT is that kinda rap song in that car commercial i keep seeing? it sounds like the guy is saying "hit 'em with a homo" over and over!
speaking of homos, i was listening to the michael reagan show on the way to the store and they were going on about gay "special rights"....i'm so sick of this shit...they act like we want grade-schoolers to learn how to suck dick correctly...i just want a world where nobody GIVES a fuck what anyone else does. i don't want to be "tolerated", i just wanna be...oh, i duuno...left alone!
and i'm sick of what the gay media is trying to shove down my throat, too. i told steve the other night, "i don't know anybody who looks like that!" i mean, could you see me at a circuit party?...

well, the advocate IS a pretty good source of news most of the time, but...oh, it's hard to put into words. they can be a little bit too much like the ultra-conservatives at times, just from the other direction. they're a little too quick to bash anyone who doesn't tow the gay party line, and i don't think that's what it's really about.
oh, how did i get on this stuff? it's too complicated to explain how i really feel right now...it's 3:45 a.m.!
but like i said, tolerance is the wrong word, and i don't expect acceptance from everyone either. oh, enough!

heehee, i just got the most wonderful comment from jaspie u.k.! (go read it!) and he gave me an idea...i went across the street and grabbed one of the party hats, stuck my face in the scanner, and...
tadaa! it's a star wars hat, with jar-jar binks on it...and we all know what team HE bats for, right?
