what i did today
9:48 p.m.

1. got up at the crack of noon.

2. checked email.

3. checked diaries and other daily stuff.

4. watched some boys online (condo, flirt4free, etc.)

5. watched some strangers on AWC.

6. had orgasm.

7. emailed...traded strangers with candy quips w/ gadfly (first season just out on dvd...this is IMPORTANT!)

8. other various email.

8. kazaa...still looking for more joy of cooking songs. i'm at "guru" status...almost up to 400...uh, points?

9. read s.f chronicle.

10. pooped.

11. walked to p.o. (rolling stone, junk mail), then walked to robs to feed cats.

12. read RS, that clay guy from american idol on the cover...i just don't get it. what little i saw was so AWFUL. on rob's couch...chia on top of me for a while...felt bad i didn't go yesterday, but fell asleep on MY couch...cat bowls were EMPTY...that never happened when i watched them for a week last month.

13. laid on the floor and looked at rob's copy of rolling with the stones by bill wyman...FUCK! amazing...thousands of pictures. i may have to get one.

14. walked home...zig-zagged...one block west, one block south, for about a mile, then down buhne, over to w. carson.

15. talked to judi next door, gave her card for andi's h.s. graduation...$30 check. judi said the house sold...single woman, no kids, 3 cats! (i'm hoping for a nice lesbian.) so buddy's 3 current cat buddies will vanish, only to be replaced by three strange cats....must look in yellow pages for "cat therapists". new lady already met buddy i hear, and judi explained how he lives over there half the time.

16. finished spongebob squarepants ice cream...don't ask. finished rice from sweet and sour chicken. (and i just had a banana.)

17. trimmed ends of hedges, so opening to the back-back yard is wider so laurie can get lawnmower through easier.

18. turned sprinkler on garden...it's still running. no, i just turned it off.

19. sent funny emails to bo, scott, and doug.

20. found an exaustive kim fowley site.

21. signed an online petition to get helen reddy's back catalog released on cd. i was #794...i just sort of...ended up there...cuz fowley produced a couple of her albums...god, he's so creepy. he must be in his late 60's, but he still looks like he did in the pics from '75 when he was creating the runaways. he once said he was the dorian gray of rock 'n roll. his new music is horrible, but that site is amazing. he knew EVERYBODY. time for a documentary before it's too late.

22. got a call from rob, he's home. he got his microphones, 2/99 bucks. he wisely contained his road rage on the way home.

23. found about 20 jobriath songs on kazaa, couldn't get a single one. will try again. this too, is very IMPORTANT! will tell you about jobriath someday.

24. read mail...advocate, CMJ. (that cute thai mailman is now on my root...route. i should offer him something cool to drink some afternoon...)

25. went to the hidden camera's site..cool queer band, about a dozen members. heard some songs, good stuff. found that through the rough trade site, cool also.

26. sparkling water with ice and lemon juice.

27. went to revamped strangers w/ candy site, beautiful!

28. then i went over to check the r.crumb messageboard, re: merchandising, pirated stuff on ebay...last night i suggested silk neckties, like jerry garcia had licensed...crumb's son lives here...i know him SLIGHTLY...i just don't wanna come off like some kind of star-fucker. he was in the movie...i met him at WORK...and ya know, his father changed the world!

29. now...it's 10:28 already. smoking last cigarette in the pack...might have to get more tonight, not sure.

30.just got an email from rob..."I bought that Behringer Real Time Analyzer / EQ today. In Real Time Analyzer mode, which is what I bought it for, it displays the frequencies of the signal (song) passing though it. I hooked it up and ran a couple of my recordings & compared it to Beatles recordings. My stuff has hardly anything happening over 8K. AND it's very active in the below 60 hz area, which is where the undesired boominess lies. The Beatles stuff looked way different, much stronger across the frequency ranges. Amazing!!! I think this thing is going to be a good investment!" honestly, boys and their toys...i'm so behind, will i ever catch up?

i guess that's it...gonna go lay on the couch and read some more punk history....

nighty-night, michael
